About me

I believe in the power of words to awaken our Bloom within!

Hi, I’m Anita. I believe that when you nurture yourself, you nurture the world. Welcome to Write to Bloom—a space where journaling meets self-discovery.

My professional journey began on the stage. I worked in different mediums, however theatre was always my first love. There’s a kind of magic in a live performance—the energy, the stories, the words. Playing a role in someone else’s story was so much fun. But after years of studying and portraying other people, a time came when I realized… I didn’t study my most important role… Me

Journaling helped me reconnect with myself…

… uncover my truths, and begin to bloom in ways I never imagined. Midlife arrived with a suitcase full of surprises—health challenges, a career change, relationship  changes, menopause—and with all that came a wave of self-doubt and anxiety. I was unfocused, felt unattractive, lost, and silenced by my own inner critic. To top it off I couldn’t find the words to express how I was feeling.

That’s when I began journaling and when something shifted. To understand what was happening under my skin, I dove into studies with the Food Matters Institute and The Psychology of Eating. That’s when I was introduced to journaling. And when something shifted. As I wrote down the heavy, hurtful words I’d been carrying, I paused and asked: Why? Why do I feel this way when I know this isn’t who I truly am?

On the page, I found my voice again. Through journaling I found my voice again. On the page, I began to reconnect with the truth of who I am—joyful, loving, compassionate, positive, curious and kind. I didn’t just want to know those words… I wanted to feel them. This was the beginning of my journey to self-love as I discovered my most important role and took centre stage in my life. It was time to write my own script.

…connecting to my heart through journaling.

That’s what inspired Write to Bloom—a movement dedicated to helping others find clarity, courage, connection, and self-love through journaling. My guided journals are created to meet you right where you are, and gently guide you toward where you want to grow.

I live in Ontario, Canada, where I spend my days writing and dreaming up new ideas. I’m a writer, a dreamer and…

…someone who believes that even the smallest seed has the power to bloom.

My favourite word is bubbles (because you just can’t say it in an angry voice). I treasure my Tickle Trunk full of life tools, and I make it a habit to LOL every single day.

When I’m not creating, you’ll find me playing Pickleball (I like to imagine that I’m at  Wimbledon), soaking up the beauty of nature, cooking, dancing in the kitchen, having deep  conversations with friends, exploring our planet, and simply being.

This is my journey—I’m so honoured to share it with you. I look forward to hearing your journey as you Write to Bloom.

Every season of your life holds the potential for blooming. Trust the process, and remember: you already have everything you need inside you. Pick up a pen, and let’s bloom together
